Historic Attractions
- Diverse historic attractions include Henricus Historical Park, St. John’s Church, the Virginia State Capitol, and numerous Civil War battlefields
- Chesterfield Museum is located in a reproduction of the original courthouse built in 1749
- Historic homes, buildings and sites such as Ampthill Estate, Salisbury, Magnolia Grange, and the Bellona Arsenal
Performing Arts
Performing arts organizations include the Richmond Symphony, Richmond Ballet, Virginia Opera, and Virginia Repertory Theatre
Public performing arts facilities in the area include the newly constructed 350-seat Baxter Perkinson Center for the Arts & Education in Chester, the 3,667-seat Altria Theater in Richmond and the Swift Creek Mill Theatre in South Chesterfield
Libraries
Chesterfield County Public Library (CCPL) has ten locations and also offers digital library services.
CCPL provides streaming and download services for audiobooks, e-books, music videos and magazines.
